This is the version of this staging that should have been released on DVD. Normally I love Cecilia Bartoli's work but not on this material. That DVD was a huge disappointment. A light hued voice like Rosemary Joshua's suits this music much better than Bartoli's husky Mezzo tones.
There is a CD recording of Semele featuring Ms. Joshua on the Chandos Early Music Chaconne label. It's well worth having.
