I was given this marvelous little instrument during the Holidays. The song was a request from me brother-in-law. Having always been partial to Drum & Fife music, and the above mentioned tune, I got around to trying the wee pipe out this morning.

These are my 1st few minutes ever playing the Tin Whistle. I noticed that as the wood part of the mouthpiece became more moist, the instrument would 'chirp' more easily on the front of the note during articulations - something I was not intending to do. None-the-less, I had a lot of fun playing it :)

  • hey man how you get those last shrill notes on the song?

  • @Mahaim13 - faster air will get you an octave higher. I'm not sure if that's what you're asking about though. Some of the "chirpiness" is due to the wood piece getting a little TOO wet.

  • hey dude, played well=)

    is it a c whistle??

  • @TheFredfried Thanks! I believe it is a D whistle, made by Cooperman.
