In addition to being one of the most renown saxophone players, Yosvany Terry is considered one of the virtuoso shekere players. Listen to two solos of this master as performed on October 22, 2009 at Harlem Stage in New York City.

  • what a nasty sound. get some bongos man

  • @yumberri kabhi to saathi mil hi jayega dost

  • is there any way to incorporate shekere into rock/indie rock music? besides just shaking it. ive been playing djembe for years and it works great for acoustic gigs. i just picked up an LP shekere off craigslist and im already wondering what the heck im gonna do with it lol It was only $30, which is like $70 cheaper than getting one new, but still $30 is $30

  • I can tell you really play Shekere. I wonder who taught you

  • in fact it becomes very sensual, like s**x

  • I got to meet Yosvany here in Dallas when he perfomed with the great Eddie Palmiery and Michel Camilo

  • Excellent - thanks for sharing!
