Watch the high quality version because the "normal quality" looks heinous.
In this clip we get an inside look at the creation of the song The Pill from Broke City's album The Answer.
The clip comes from the feature documentary directed by Joshua Ligairi, If Tomorrow Doesn't Change, about the band Broke City. The film chronicles the band's early years of struggle before signing to Maverick Records as well as the writing and recording of their major label debut, The Answer.
The Answer was recorded at Unknown Studios in Orem, Utah with producer Branden Steineckert (Rancid, The Used).
If Tomorrow Doesn't Change was originally meant to be a double-disc companion to The Answer, but the crumbling of the record label just before the album was released and line-up changes in the band eventually led to major elements in the documentary becoming obsolete. In the end, The Answer was self-released by the band and If Tomorrow Doesn't Change was aired on cable television, but never released on DVD. For director Joshua Ligairi, the documentary's title (that comes from the first track of the band's first self-release album, Love is Never Enough) now has seemingly haunting connotations.
Special thanks to past and present members of Broke City, Branden Steineckert, and Unknown Studios.
