~ My Semester Project - A Day of Music (flute, violin, piano) ~

So one day during September this year, my comp teacher had said to the class, "we will be writing semester projects, and we will perform them on December 4th , 2008." I had to immediately set my mind on one specific idea for a piece to begin writing my semester project. After many months of editing and refining, this was my outcome: :.Right..Here.:

MOV I - Morning (flute, violin, piano)
MOV II - Afternoon (flute, violin, piano)
MOV III - Night (flute, violin, piano)

I decided to use some basic ideas I had in the past, such as Night themes, or Morning themes, and try new things in my second movement. But the head start in the writing process gave me enough material to expand wide, and acquire more length to my piece.

In addition, I had Nolan by my side expansing my ideas. Nolan Stolz was my comp lesson teacher for the Fall Semester this year. He's been closely analyzing my music each week to guide me through my work's completion (for now).

I APPLAUD my wonderful friends, Michelle Stockman, and Steve Carey because they are quite outstanding instrumentalists!! Being only freshmen, I was quite amazed on how nice of a tone they could both achieve. They enlightened me into composing more than I usually would! They even inspired me to write certain parts specifically for them. Also, I am pleased to say that both of them originally live in the same area as me (North Eastern Massachusetts and South Eastern New Hampshire)!

I absolutely love this...although I myself believe you shoul've had a cello somewhere in there.(pardon the my biased opinion, I play the cello myself) Just keep doing what you truely love dude.
