I guess 'Majority' isn't such a "bad" word anymore.
-
@EllerySneed Liberals = crybabies
-
so does every party... when the CBC reported this, I was like "WTF who cares"! I bet if Iggy said he wanted a majority, the CBC would be talking so enthusiastically and happily about it, yet when a torie does it, it gets out the red attack dogs lol. If the CBC was privately owned and didnt waste time catering to big govt so it could recieve its next meal (paid for by the Canadian tax payers) we wouldnt see this BS and bias

Liberals = Fail.

Conservatives getting ready to sack Harper? lol ur funny. The BLOQ is supporting him so WE DONT HAVE AN ELECTION--NO ONE WANTS AN ELECTION. i just watched the question period in parliament today, and you know why the liberals and NDP dont support the tories? they dont want taxes raised to balance the buget, when months earlier they weren't supporting the government for not balancing the budget with higher taxes. Harper is trying to reach out, opposition won't let him. they just want an election

Because the Leader of any Country or Organization should be somebody who unites ideas and people under a unified vision.
"Ideologue conservatives are ready to sack Harper for being a red-tory" Bearmare is right, Harper is loosing support within Idealogue Conservatives, as he gains his support by using fear mongering and turning people off politics.
-
seriously who gives a fuck.
of course he wants a majority.
the ndp are socialists, for fucks sake were our whole country is socialist, even harper is a very moderate socialist, and that is not a bad thing.
and how the fuck can being called a separatist be offensive when part of your party platform involves separating??
How about we start talking about what fucking matters, the issues, instead of worrying about this bs no one except party faithfuls care about

Good comeback, real mature

This another case of Harper saying one thing and doing another. The reason why Harper did this is because his ass is close to being hung out. Ideologue conservatives are ready to sack Harper for being a red-tory and for good reason. Harper is running up debts at record levels, buying his moderate persona. Hard core conservatives are ready to get him, pure and simple. A speech to a university conservative club is going to be hot and bothered anyway, so no one can say what Harper will really do.
Somebody needs to explain democracy to Harper. If the majority of the MPs voted by the Canadian public agree to forming a coalition, then that's perfectly legitimate. Let's not forget that Harper has a minority of c. 37% and has always usually relied on the Liberals for support. So he's being a bit of a hypocrite.
I just don't see Harper getting a majority. Look at the mess that Canada's finances are in. Maybe the economy is improving, but our deficit is now HUGE b/c of Harpers spending
