Kyatt Hunting = Moneymaker

Pengmeister (Me), hunting Kyatts. Just an updated version of the last video and more to the point.

At my rate of 26:31 (that is 26 minutes and 31 seconds), I was able to get 42 Kyatt furs. Which at the time of posting this video Kyatt furs were 9,819 gp a piece. Which would come to around 95 furs per hour at my rate. 95 furs x 9,819 gp = 932,805 gp.

It is possible to go way faster than 26 minutes. I just had no prior practice and I kept making mistakes. My guess would be that 20 minutes would get ya 42 furs with the use of a Tortoise. Not sure about the rates if you had a Yak. At 20 minutes your rate would be around 2.1 furs a minute (42 divided by 20 = 2.1). So, approximately 126 furs an hour (2.1 times 60 = an hour of hunting) if you don't include banking trips. 126 furs would equal 1,237,194 gp an hour. That is if you make hardly any mistakes and can at least get 2 Kyatt furs a minute (not the Tatty Furs).

I didn't test this method with any Hunter-boosting familiar this time. So, I can't really recommend one for you, unless you seem to fail a lot. If you fail a lot, try going to Oo'glog and using the Mud Bath, I believe. That will boost your hunter by 8 lvls. If you have the prayer curses use "Berserker" to keep your lvl boosted for longer. Also, you can purchase Hunter Potions if you really need them. Like I said, if you keep failing then also try using a Hunter-boosting familiar such as a Spirit Graahk, Kyatt, or Larupia, or even an Arctic Bear (gives +7 to Hunter; and it has the option to teleport you straight to the Kyatt hunting area). The other three familiars give you a hidden +5 bonus to Hunter.

The set up for traps isn't really too hard. Basically, have your traps set up at all times if possible. And tease the Kyatt nearest to one of your traps. A helpful trick is to hop over "Trap A" then hop back and tease another Kyatt and do the same trick over "Trap B" and run back to the first trap to capture the first Kyatt on "Trap A." If that makes sense. It takes time and practice but should be easy to get used to.

I'm no pro at this so any feedback and/or video responses showing better methods that beat my time would be helpful. Try to beat 26:31 (that's one trip with a Tortoise familiar loaded with logs. Loading the Tortoise with Furs, filling your inventory with furs then banking and returning.)

The best ways of getting to the location include: Using an Arctic Bear's teleport option (yet you wouldn't be able to bring a Beast of Burden full of logs that way). Running from Seer's Village North to the Hunting Area. You could also use the Fairy Ring code D-K-S if you have done the Fairy quests. Another good method is using the Lyre to teleport to Rellekka then run to the hunting area. Also, the slayer ring has a helpful teleport to the Rellekka Slayer Dungeon. From the dungeon entrance you just need to run North. There is also a bank in Keldagrim that you could use if needed; that is another option. And of course, if you don't have a teleport such as an Amulet of Glory or Ring of Dueling, you can always return to the Fairy Ring and bank in Zanaris. If you have access to Peer the Seer you can bank through him. You just can't withdraw anything... That also reminds me that you could teleport to Moonclan (Lunar Isle) and bank there then sail to Rellekka and run to the Hunting Area. Or you could use Neitiznot or Jatitzso's bank and travel back to Rellekka and run to the Hunting Area.

-Helpful Tips-

Bring a Beast of Burden and fill it with normal logs.
Bring a knife, a hatchet (to cut trees when you run out of logs), and a teasing stick.
Food would be helpful if you get hit often.
I substituted food for my Enhanced Excalibur as it heals 20 hp and boosts my Defence.
Wear Kyatt hunting clothing to camouflage better.
If you tend to fail a lot try using Boosting items such as Hunter Potions, Summoning Familiars, or the Mud Bath in Oo'glog.
Listen to music so you don't get bored out of your mind.
Try to beat your previous records. That tends to get you more profit and always gives you a challenge!

@pengmeister lol runescape has been ruined by grand exchange merching currupting bastards and scammers that are allowed to scam... items values are dropping stupidly because any noob can make money now. Ah well, dispite all the updates I found your guide to be quite usefull for hunting, thanks :) (fur is at 11.1k)

@MrRedeyedJedi I quit because i felt the economy was ruined. Also, the ability to get 99 in skills with less effort than it used to take...really is quite depressing for veterans like myself. I hope the game can be fixed in the sense of removing scamming. Greed is what fuels the desires of those people. Can't change that.

@pengmeister your feeling was correct - in more than one sense it has been ruined as I stated in my comment. I'm a "veterin" myself and I find the only way to overcome this is to adapt and use the grand exchange only when necessary. Hopefully jagex will find a way to counteract to some extent what is putting so many people off playing in time. fairwell for now :)
