Sea Shepherd Ady Gil was destroyed by the Shonan Maru No.2

The Ady Gil was a fiber glass and kevlar ship built for speed, it was stopped in front of the stopped Shonan Maru No.2 when they started heading towards the Ady Gil, the Ady Gil attempted to get out of the way. The Shonan Maru No.2 rammed the Ady Gil at high speed cutting it into two. Crew of the Sea Shepherd Ship "Bob Barker" launched a rubber craft and rescued the Crew on the Ady Gil. There are no reports of injuries but the Ady Gil is a total loss.



Shortly after the Shonan Maru No.2 rammed the Ady Gil, the Ady Gil sent out May Day calls but the Shonan Maru No.2 ignored them for a while until it finally turned around and returned to the Ady Gil (they did not assist or offer any aid to the crew of the Ady Gil) Animal Planet Crew members on both the Ady Gil and Bob Barker got the impact on film...it looks like Whale Wars season 3 will have lots of action in it.
