The Wilderness was a horrible battle as all were but the Wilderness was 4th of the top 10 bloodiest battles of the war. Imagine fighting through the thickest forrest you've ever seen while bullets and shrapnel are flying everywhere and the whole area is covered with a thick white smoke from so many muskets firing. You can barely here anything, not ever your own gun firing from the noise of so many muskets going off. A bloody terrifying confusing mess of a battle it was.
