This video shows the open source enhanced Quake engine with the coop mod Super Duper Quake. Host OS is Arch Linux 64. Graphic adapter an ATI HD4670 running the open source radeon driver.

There are some serious slowdowns in the video which are caused in one part by the currently not so got optimization of the radeon drivers but the other reason for those slowdowns is the massive amount of objects being drawn by the Darkplaces engine. I even see those slowdowns under Windows with ATI drivers. I am not even shure if a GeForce 260 could run SD Quake without slowdowns. I would be interested to hear feedback of peoples running SD Quake on a more powerful system as mine:
My archlinux x86_64 host:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ / 4 GB DDR2 RAM / ALiveXFire-eSATA2 Mainboard /
Sapphire HD 4670 Ultimate (512 MB - passive cooling) / 500 GB SATA HDD
Nevertheless SDQuake is a lot of fun to play and is pretty similar to UT with Invasion, Serious Sam or Painkiller. Lots of monster, lots of gore and big guns.
What do we need more ? :)
Well, isnt sdquake closely related to growing up horses ?

Yes, exactly. I would not say that it is a parody. More a "funshooter" mod similar to Serious Sam or somewhat like Painkiller.
