Is there a tutorial for mapping the MIDI tsi file for Traktor Scratch Pro? I know how to map at a basic level (i actually modified someone else's tsi file which made things easy), but the intricate stuff like getting it to tell you to return the knobs to their original position - HOW DO I SET IT UP for all of that!? Is it difficult?
Is there a tutorial out there, about mapping this baby to its full potential? I'm new to this gadgetry, as well as DJing in general :P

i have problem with sliders screws getting loose, otherwise it's ok. used quite regularly (twice/week for night gig)

The difference between the x1600 and x1700 is obviously price for one $800. The main difference is the 1600 has V-link integration vs the 1700 does not which means it has direct integration with video mixers such as the v-4 and v-8 from edirol. Also other rolan and other manufacturers that use V-link. the 1700 has two effects processors.

Its Traktor Scratch certified and you can use the timecode without the Audio DJ 8. Crazy!!!

I used this mixer with Traktor Pro & two Kontrol X1's and it was flawless. All four decks worked perfect. Everything worked perfect on the X1s. Even the Denon effectors worked perfect to augment the Traktor effects. This mixer is sick!!! The sound quality is great, the feel of the mixer is excellent. This mixer is going to be added to my arsenal real soon (like next week). Now time to get rid of some equipment thats gathering dust. Look for it on Ebay.

Ty, how does this mixer work with Virtual Dj/Virtual Vinyl? I know that you use Serato and Tracktor often but would you be willing to do a demo using Virtual Vinyl? I do believe that quite a few users would be interested in this quality mixer, thanks.
hey dj ty, what do you use in the club on a regular basis?

@DJCAMROBERTS I'd had a DJM-800 for years. I wouldn't hesitate to take the x1600 though, it's solid.

@djglobeone According to Denon's website, Traktor Scratch Certification is to be announced soon. One of those "we're working on it" kind of things. But once it happens, that's all it is-a certification and official Marketing standpoint. That's not to say you can't use this mixer right now with Traktor. Hop on the forums and you'll find DJ's that are doing it successfully.
