  • @seanakizuki I wouldn't disagree with that. It seemed like the world of Conan was or is always open to expand on with other places, things and characters.

  • @arayda58menace- Zula in the comics was male with sorcery abilities. Both versions were most likely not Robert E. Howard material.

  • @scifiwarrior It's a good point friend. I like both versions of Zula myself. The Grace Jones version from Destroyer is the one I first saw. It would be interesting to know the reason why the makers of the cartoon felt like changing the gender of the character.

  • Does anyone else realize that Zula was the crazy staff wielding female in "Conan The Destroyer"? Why the need to change the gender? Just thought I'd point that out.

  • @dunmermage

For his Hyborian Age he copied a lot of stuff: Hyboria is supposed to be Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia in a forgotten era. He also used historic peoples such as the Picts in his stories, and his Hyborian Age Essay pretty much says Scotland, Ireland, and others owe their cultures to the Hyborian Age.

I have, given the dark tone and other elements in Robert Howard's original stories, there's no way you could make a kids show about Conan without changing elements of the stories. The problem is that the collections of Kull and Conan Stories I have has the stories in the order they were published, not chronologically, and saddly Howard killed himself before he had a chance to do an orgin story for Conan or create a cannical timeline for Conan

  • @petermuijsenberg

Actually Kull was from Atlantis but was the King of Valusia, the same way Conan comes from Cimmeria but will eventually become King of Aqualonia

  • As a kid I never realized this whole story was a Reptilian conspiracy combined with the Illuminati. Awesome. Throw the Masons and the Knights Templar in there and you've got quite the conspiracy soup.

  • Is he related to Cobra Commander?

  • CONAN!!!!!!! suscribed CROM!!!!!
