  • My guess on this recording would be around 74-75. I strongly feel this could have been on Physical Graffiti. If you listen to the sound of the drumming, it's got that distinctive sound from Kashmir and In The Light. Don't hold me to my word, it's just my opinion. Rock on Zeppelin lovers!

  • ican play the first 2 minutes on this on guitar so i guess that makes me cool

  • I don't know if it was the mic placement or what ... but Bonham always seemed to get some amazing tones out of the one bass drum (not to mention his amazing control of that foot). It just seems there are various levels of tone out of that (and other drums) so there was more of an atmospheric and analog quality (as opposed to a digital "either on or off" quality I feel a lot of more modern drumming sounds like - a trend of more modern 80's till now drum recording has been so cardboard-box-like).

  • Way fucking cool man!!! I want to learn this one...

  • i love how raw JPJ sounds :O

  • yea man, I don't know how to feel about Jack White...The music's not bad, but somethin about their vibe is off....darkness...

  • John Paul was just jammin on Lemon song...you can't write that

  • Isn't this the original Swan Song recording that Plant refused to sing on?

  • fantastic

  • JPJ did remark after the O2 gig that he had forgotten just how hard the bass line for "Good Times, Bad Times" was until they went into rehearsal. I think that that set of riffs *is* a bit harder to pull off than that of "Lemon Song". Not to say that either song is easy for bass players to kick out...

  • You guys are idiots haha. Jack White is using a whammy pedal to create harmonies. They had that pedal back in the 70's too. And if you guys didn't already know, Jack and Jimmy are fond of each other, so I don't see why you don't appreciate White.

  • sorry gotsta disagree. Johnsey did the best bass line ever in the Lemon Song so this would have been easy for him.
