I woke up to the sound of constant thunder, looked outside, and sure enough, I saw this hugeass thunder cell coming right at us. I didn't have time to get the amazing cloud formations on the leading edge of this thing, but the microburst I caught on video is awesome. The winds hit 80 MPH! In the video, you can hear my dad getting upset because the wind was pushing the water onto the windowsills and onto the carpet. Despite that, all you storm chasers and severe weather enthusiasts will love this video. Have fun!

  • The is a great video. Here in AZ, we get these too during the monsoons. I wish I could have captured one on film but I am usually too busy finding the sturdiest room in the house to hide in..LOL They scare me a bit. :)

  • @JettWorship65 Yah, we get microbursts over here near the Gulf Coast quite a bit. Sometimes, we'll even get a little bit of rotation. But it's mostly microbursts here. They're fun to watch. I used to have a fear of severe weather like this along time ago, but not any more.

  • OK, been looking through various microburst videos.... this one backs it's name up! And as for Dad, did you make him a stiff drink when this was finished?

  • @sacredaustin Lol! It sure does back its name up, huh? As for Dad, I don't know what his problem was. There wasn't hardly any water coming through. And he also knew that the camera I was using recorded audio! So, no I didn't make him a stiff drink. But this video is hell of cool, and it is funny to hear Dad blowing a fuse over something really dumb! You should look at some of the other severe wx videoes I did.

  • how long did it last and where i live thunderstorms like that are seldom

  • @gildotherotweiler Yah it lasted about seven minutes or so. And these are a regular thing around here.
