You should listen to the german version. Really heroic and sky-shooting. Better than the u.s-version.

maybe it´s also capitain flam because the french always want to keep their language. which means lettting as less english influence their language as possible. e. g. they also came up for their own word for "computer". ordinateur if i´m not mistaken.

Well, i'm sorry, but from a french point of view, captain Future sounds so corny.
It would have been "Capitaine futur" !!!
Sorry, just doesn't work. Must be why they changed it at the time.
