  • This man is best. He is actually bringing new ideas out instead of just adding a couple small features and enhancing the graphics.

  • yes.....thats exactly what Peter Molyneux wants to do....make it more than just a game...

  • BRAINWASHING = hypnosis (manipulation of the unconscious and conscious mind) + intimidation + caring ↔ MANIPULATION.

You are now free to leave the cult of scientology.

  • i agree

  • Peter, now you think you have a conscious!!!

You spent years creating games that are about war!

I spoke to you about this over 25 years ago and you thought at the time I was NUTS!

I suppose now that you can make money from peoples emotions you want in!

    GROW UP!

  • no no no no no

  • On that note, I observe that we use video games to experience things vicariously. We can fight and destroy things we would never do in real life. We will feel the responsibility for our actions if it IS actually real, or if the game's consequences last forever in the game world and are unchangeable like in "Ultima".

  • The emotions you're describing seem more like nostalgia, and even in most games when you feel emotions during play are uncontrolled; such as pre-set story events, i think he is trying to get at being able to effect the world around you and feel emotionally responsible about the consequences of your actions, i haven't played a game like this yet.

  • Emotion in games? Just look to Nintendo! They have made memorable characters and innovative games since 1984! Mario is my homeboy and the Final Fantasy stories I'll remember forever!

Let's not forget music games like Guitar hero either. Learning = fun.

I hope games don't continue to be D&D based or WWII FPS style. This trend is grinding the industry to a halt.

  • people who make good games have been doing this with less than 254 colors...

All this hubhub for nothing is really just...draining to listen to. Maybe he should play some good games and see that these things are implied through character development an instrumental involvement within subtasks that characters do in games--often either seen as "easter eggs" or developmental aspects of story.
