I never get tired of listening (or watching) to this. IMHO, this is far and away, the greatest recording of Lights Out -- live or studio version. It may very well be the greatest live recording ever.

Are you SURE this is from 1978?? They look to me exactly as they did in 1977. Michael's hair wasn't that damn long in '78 from what I remember.

Amazing, I wish more Schenker era UFO was on video. The guy had some chops, such melody and fluidity. Solos went with the songs, not just a bunch of scales.

I wanted to say one more thing about this song. we all know that that chucka chucka type rhythm that was revolutionary at the time has been over exploited nowadays, but Phil's ability to sing melodic lines over such a rhythm certainly didn't come from his peers or influences (marriot etc..) totally unique!

i went to see them on the strangers tour but unfortunatly old mikey left during the tour to be replaced by paul chapman.i missed the magic.its a pity michael and phil never got along.

Yes,Michael will always be remember edas the force that took UFO to a higher place, I agree these 2 guys can't seem to stay together for long but when they go into a studio to record a UFO album ,they can make magic!
