Then biggest hero from the Civil war was William Tecumsah Sherman.... so much so the american tank was named for him as an extreme honor.... for burning and raping everything in his path!!!! The South rebelled against our constitution and attacked US troops just like Alqeda did

@DannyCro9009 Consider the context of the song, though. The song was written from the perspective of a Southerner DURING the war. He's cursing the Union. Because the United States was what was holding them back from being the Confederate States. The song isn't cursing modern day America, trust me. Just the "glorious Union" that Lincoln advocated for. Hope that clears this up. :)
