Felicia goes to Lorna's apartment to pick her up for the party at the Paradise and finds the place a mess, with dresses strewn all over the living room. Lorna tells Felicia that she bought all those new clothes because she can't go to the party in black leather and spandex, because everyone will only see Carl Hutchins' mistress then, and not Felicia's daughter. Lorna asks Felicia to help her. Felicia tells Lorna that she knows tonight won't be easy, but Lorna has to have courage. "I said help, not a pep rally!" Lorna exclaims. Felicia insists no one is going to care what Lorna's wearing; they'll just see Felicia and Lorna standing next to each other and think what a fabulous mother-daughter team they are. When Lorna just looks at her, Felicia says, "Okay, all right, so, no more pep rally." Lorna asks Felicia if Felicia has considered the possibility that the people at the party will run screaming and ranting and raving from the place as soon as they hear the words "my daughter Lorna Devon" escape from Felicia's lips, and Felicia says no, not her friends. Lorna tells Felicia not to overestimate people because she'll get burned every time, then tries to call Rachel to cancel the party, but Felicia won't let her. Felicia reminds Lorna that Lorna knelt at Luke's grave with Felicia and told Felicia that she wanted to come home. Felicia is taking Lorna home now--20-some-odd years too late, but there's no turning back now. When Felicia says that when she looks Lorna she sees Luke, Lorna asks what Luke would have done in this situation. Felicia replies that he would have run screaming from the room. But he would have come back and faced the music. Felicia then tells Lorna she has something for her and gives her a scrapbook that Luke made, filled with old pictures of the two of them and articles on their careers. He always knew he would find his daughter, and when he did, he wanted to share with her everything she had missed. Lorna can't believe it. Felicia then tells Lorna to turn to the last page. On the last page is the article the Tribune wrote about Lorna after Dean's concert that never was on the 4th of July. Lorna says that's the first good press she got in a long time. Felicia says Luke saved it because he was so proud of Lorna. He loved Lorna long before he could ever say the words. Lorna and Felicia hug, and then Felicia says they have to go or they'll be late. Lorna promises that she'll be there with bells on, but asks if Felicia minds if Lorna has a few moments to herself. Felicia doesn't mind. "I'll be waiting for you," she says.

"You always have been," Lorna replies.

Before Felicia leaves, Lorna tells her that Lorna's favorite color is black, but tonight she's going to try something happier, for Lucas. Felicia thinks that's a great idea. But she tells Lorna that the little linen number she's wearing right now? Dear God, please hang it back up on the hanger. Then Felicia leaves, and Lorna finishes getting ready. Thanks to Janie for the scenes.

  • I love this mother/daughter team. Lorna is so Felicia's daughter. Linda and Alicia really were so great in scenes together. They both could make me cry.....

  • Such a nice scene between those two. :-)
