  • Are there any Medium Wave transmissions in Ireland any more?

  • @TheOxleycrusher The only one I can think of is 1584 Zenith Classic Rock, Waterford City Fri 0000 - Sun 2400, runs 1kw. there are of course a number still active in the North.

  • @yogi540 Zenith actually runs AM stereo as well using the Motorola C-QUAM system. Certainly a rarity in Europe but I guess the Irish government does not have anything against that because this system has about 30 years of use behind it and has been proven to NOT cause interference.

  • 31st March is correct, they left this loop running for exactly a week before finally switching off at Tullamore and Cork.
