3-3-09 Wings VS Blues Marian Hossa faceplants

Five minutes into Tuesday's game, the Red Wings saw teammate Marian Hossa taken off on a stretcher after he crashed headfirst into the boards at Scottrade Center. Hossa never lost consciousness, and, after being checked out at a hospital, was to fly with the Wings to Colorado.

The Wings responded with a fight and a shorthanded goal before the first period ended, and went on to hand the Blues a 5-0 drubbing.
