Music clips culled from three season 3 episode of "I Spy" entitled "Home to Judgment" in which government agents Kelly Robinson (actor Robert Culp) and Alexander Scott (actor Bill Cosby) are chased in the countryside by ruthless Syndicate men willing to eliminate them because they know too much about their secret activities. Both exhausted agents stop running and hide in a farmhouse which happens to belong to Robinson's old uncle (actor Will Geer). Later on and at night, a weird cowboy hitman popup to erase the inhabitants of the farmhouse.
Composer Earle Hagen writes here a masterpiece score that is modernist—notice the echo and the pitch bending—and hectic at once. The music includes the use of a fast-paced drum and a gloomy organ to emphasize the diehard attitude of the iron Syndicate men on a manhunt. Some cues almost remind the experimental arrangements from Jerry Goldsmith's "Planet of the Apes" (1968).
