That DSM needs to learn to brake boost.

You're an idiot. DSM is Diamond Star Motors, a joint venture between Mitsu and Chrysler in the 90's that they did not continue during the 3g eclipse. Thats why a GVR4 and Starion are DSMs. The 3g eclipse is NOT a DSM as it did not have anything to do with Chrysler. Thats whey an evo 8 is NOT considered a DSM.

@HippieHunta Yes all the 2g's get labeled a DSM. I'm too technical, lol. No DSM plaque no DSM!. When Chrysler sold in 93 and Mitsu renamed in 95, finding a plaque would be a rarity. I own a 60-1 galant vr4 and a CES stage2 M3(35r), before the galant a big turbo 1gb 6/4 bolt talon. Both fantastic and only similar in they are cars, have boost, and can suck money out of you. Other then that they differ neither really better depending on what your goals are. Hopefully that clears up what I meant.

@CES2M3 2 yr old comment, but w/e. Everything you said is right, except that 2gs are not dsms... they are, both 2ga's and 2gb's, only difference is that there were not lasers, while chrysler still made the talons.
-
@HippieHunta Actually no, Technically the Galant VR4 is not a DSM. DSM's were made in Norma Illinois and really refer to the Laser/Talon/Eclipse. Hell all 2Gs are not really DSM's. However as far as enthusiasts go they are lumped in. The VR-4 however is usually not lumped into the DSM category. It was not made near those 3 etc. Basically the same way the 3000gt vr4 is not a DSM the galant Vr4 is not a dsm. Having a 4g63t does not make it a DSM.

@bewstin20 I don't think anyone (well, anyone besides the 17 year old children that often reply to these videos) would deny the "shitbox-ness" of DSMs, but as you know, that's not the point.
You want a fast car that will destroy almost anything it runs into? Build a DSM.
Want something comfy that's sporty as well? Bimmer all the way.

GVR4 ISNT really A DSM it was all mmc
same motor same enthusiast
For what its worth, this was a stock 165k mile motor with a $400 worth of mods (headgasket and headstuds).
