Believing that gay people have no place in the Christian church, evangelical ex-gay ministries, such as Exodus International, have been established around the country to re-program LGBT people to make them heterosexuals, often with tragic consequences.

  • Isn't it funny how poeple pick and choose that they want to believe in with in the bible... There are many, many examples of this... Either don't discriminate or push for all of what the bible says to be followed.

  • We really don't know what the original bible said. It has been rewritten over the centuries through editing and translation. Entire sections of the bible were deleted by the Nicene Council in 325 AD. The one thing we do know is that Jesus preached love. LOVE. LOVE. LOVE.

  • @bemata7 Don't get me wrong! I love the Nicene thing, but do you have any links? I would LOVE to use this as an argument!

  • @graciegirlie123456 Let's make a compromise: You stop saying that what we are is wrong, and we stop being against your religion. Sound fair?

  • I'm not religious at all but I thought I had it hard enough coming out to my non-religious parents. I couldn't imagine how difficult it would be to be torn between something you believe in about yourself so strongly that its contradicting everything you'd been brought up to believe as a faith, that you'd believe ending it all is the right answer. I don't give a toss how we got here, the point is we're here and the GLBT community are human beings with rights to live happily the way THEY want to!

  • This is one of the most truthful and alarming videos about the Ex-Gay movement and the damage that comes from it!!

I went through 3 years of ex-gay therapy in Sydney, Australia. It did nothing to 'cure' or change me, rather it left me battling depression, self harm and suicidal thoughts. Change is impossible. My best friend James committed suicide because of ex-gay programs.

  • @GracieGirlie1221 when did christians kill gays read a book........so since 312 A.C.E. no homosexuals have been persecuted in christian countries

  • I've been involved in several ex-gay ministries, and whenever people didn't like it they simply quit coming... they didn't go off an kill themselves. Now if almost every person in ex-gay ministries killed themselves, or if you could prove that every closeted gay who committed suicide did it because they were being oppressed, then you would have a case. But this isn't convincing to me.

  • And you don't know how many guns the progressives are stock piling. Bring your warped version of Jesus ON. Not even the rapture can save you. Children shouldn't play with the insane.

  • you apparently don't know history very well.
