Writers: Paul Haggis (screenplay), Fred Cavayé (screenplay)
Stars: Russell Crowe, Elizabeth Banks, Liam Neeson, Brian Dennehy, and Olivia Wilde

Synopsis: Life seems perfect for John Brennan until his wife, Lara, is arrested for a murder she says she didn't commit. Three years into her sentence, John is struggling to hold his family together, raising their son and teaching at college while he pursues every means available to prove her innocence. With the rejection of their final appeal, Lara becomes suicidal and John decides there is only one possible, bearable solution: to break his wife out of prison. Refusing to be deterred by impossible odds or his own inexperience, John devises an elaborate escape plot and plunges into a dangerous and unfamiliar world, ultimately risking everything for the woman he loves.

  • I actually loved the film. Thought it was very suspenseful and well written...

  • This film was really good, Wow I mean it has you on the edge of your seat the whole movie. The panel reviewing this film I think are really talking the biggest load of rubbish. The woman says I can't picture them been a couple "What" why. Russell Crowe's father in the film is Brain Dennary ( can't spell his name) he's old of course and only plays a minor few clips ( but does the job well) Honestly no wonder Russell Crowe hates critics when a panel like this talk complete and utter crap.

  • I loved the movie. I dont understand why they can't just watch the movie for their characters and not the people that are playing them. They are actors and they act the way the story makes them not how they act in real life.

  • I loved this film. The scenes were shot superbly and i was on the edge of my seat the whole time. The only complaint i had was that i thought there would have been more intense planning int the movie.

  • this guy thinks harry potter is a better movie than this...thats when you know you shouldnt be listening to these reviewers. and the asain guy was just pissing me off so much. his opinions were insanely bad

  • I hate how all of these reviewers base a movie on an actors past movies like wtf? It was a great movie!!! Lol movie reviewers are so pathetic it's like people who watch hundreds of movies each year for a living can rate movies??? Of course their standards for a movie are extremely high so its like every movie that comes out has to be an extremely high budget movie instead of its story line... And they hardly put movie opinions in their review it's all actor this actor that this actor was in thi

  • they dindt realised that he done all that for love ....some people are ready to do anything for love somethines, and russel knowed that his wife didnt commit a murder

  • @emilan1212 Your making an assumption based on what he said. He said "who wasn't great in that scene was Russel Crow" He is obviously criticizing Russel Crow, or else who would have said "what wasn't great in that scene was the script". The problem was that he was using the script to criticize Russel Crow and not using his acting to criticize him. If you don't' agree with me now you must be an idiot along with the reviewer.

  • @hxcswagg ofcourse when he said that, he was talking about the script of the movie. The reviewer is not an idiot who think that the actors say what they want to say.

  • @emilan1212 " who wasn't great in that scene was Russel Crow , he sat there and hes supposed to be a guy who when his wife is questioned like that or when a woman suggests that she could steal uhh Russel Crow from Elizabeth banks, Russel Crow is supposed to say 'Hey no you couldn't I'm with the woman i want to be with and the notion that you could take me like that is ridiculous." He is negatively criticizes Russel Crow based on his opinion of the script. Did you ever listen to what they said?

  • @hxcswagg did you even listen to what they said?

  • I loved this movie. I basically disagreed with all of the complaints they made because I totally bought everything russell Crowe did. Maybe I am just biased because I am so in love with Russell Crowe.
