Islip Town Supervisor Phil Nolan and the Islip Town Democratic Committee has accepted tens of thousands of dollars in campaign contributions from Indicted businessman Brian Madden. The US Attorney has accused Madden of embezzling $4.7 million. Madden contributed more than $20,000 to the Islip Town Democratic Committee; more than $16,000 to "Friends of Phil Nolan"; and more than $80,000 to other candidates, including Christopher Dodd, Tim Bishop, Steve Isreal and Gary Ackerman. This money is being used to finance this year's "Nolan Team" members Chris Bodkin and Jim Morgo. Phil Nolan has raised over $1.5 million to finance local campaigns. That is a huge amount of money. Stay tuned as we shed light on where that money came from and where it is going.
