My Artwork set to fantastic piano music by Muzio Clementi

Sonatina N.6 Op. 35 - 1 (24 January 1752, Rome -- 10 March 1832, Evesham, Worcestershire, England) was a celebrated composer, pianist, pedagogue, conductor, music publisher, editor, and piano manufacturer. Born in Italy, he spent most of his life in England. He is best known for his piano sonatas, and his collection of piano studies, Gradus ad Parnassum. Nineteenth century enthusiasts lauded Clementi as "the father of the pianoforte", "father of modern piano technique", and "father of Romantic pianistic virtuosity". Encouraged to study music by his father, he was sponsored as a young composer by Sir Peter Beckford, a wealthy Englishman who took him to England to advance his studies. He soon became known as one of the great piano virtuosi, touring Europe numerous times from his long time base in London. It was on one of these occasions in 1781 that he famously engaged in a piano competition with Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Performed by Alessio Cesaroni. • Stephen: how confident of you to seek out my impression of your art. Did you use oil pastels & charcoal pencils? Your art is incredibly beautiful! In part because I took college art courses. One art course I learned to explore & apply drawing pencils, and drawing with oil pastels. An actual drawing with oil pastels I drew from images I captured while studying how color contrast develops. My interest in your drawings reminds me of exploring & using oil pastels. Yours is exceptionally AMAZING! TY

  • @XThis52x Thank you for your interesting comment. I have used oil pastels in the past but mostly use my hands and brushes with acrylic paint these days. Love and peace, Stephen

  • What a painter...you have enormous talent...but the music that accompanying it is taking off all the sensation that you create on to your paintings...( They do not go together...I'm sorry to tell my true feeling....but many thanks for sharing !!! )

  • @Virginielie Thank you very much. I have put some more upbeat music to my latest creation on my feature. What do you think? True feelings are always the best otherwise they aren't really feelings!!. Love and peace, Stephen

  • Wonderful.... I particularly like the moodiness of the sketches. Thank you for the notes on the composer.

    All the best,

    Ross

  • @rosslavel Thank you very much Ross I was in a rather moody state of mind when I did those sketches.
