Let's Play Rift - Part 7 - Heroes In A Half Shell

Part 7 of my 'Let's Play' gameplay and commentary in the new MMO, Rift, by Trion.

In this episode we begin questing out in the real world of Talara, having previously made our way through the beginning zone. Amongst rescuing unconscious Guardian allies, lobbing catapults and smiting a Centurion, we take alook at the first gathering profession trainers available in the game, and we receive some special gifts in the mail..

I have an observation that others may have made and a question Sambonz...It's seems like you guyz never come close to dying and is there a way to make it harder like in a Stand-Alone RPG...Thanks for great Vids :D

@jseph1234567890 that's because we're awesome. ahaha clearly i'm kidding - no it's just because the early parts of any MMO are generally very easy. to ensure that players are gently brought into the game without too much risk. later on in the series you'll see me die a lot ;p re your other question, there's plenty of tough content further into the game and at end-game =)

hey samboz i have been having trouble getting a subscription up for rift every time i try it says that We are unable to change your subscription at this time. Please try again later or contact customer service and i have tried to call customer support for Australia and the line always busy anyway i was wondering since i cant find anything about elsewhere if you had any idea what's happening

@MHDAbbott hrm that sounds weird - but i will say that i've never bothered with the Australian phone number. i've always had the greatest success simply submitting a ticket straight to their Account Support department in the US.

go the the main website then click on the 'support' link up the top left of the page and follow your nose =)

@XbowdoX If you go into your soul tree are you able to click on the square in the center and pick a soul? If you're out of the Starter zone then you can go to your class trainer and buy all the souls available.

@MrGrimmv2 thanks! glad you're finding the series useful =) and i agree - in a game where progress is centered around questing, having none is awful. and it's surprising how many games are a let down in this regard :S
