I want to tell my parents that I have pretty much all the symptoms described here, and that I've been feeling this way for a few months now, but I just don't think they will take me seriously. They will probably put it down to stress at school or boredom- but I know it's much bigger than that. Every time is see a guy walking Dow the road with a girl or a wife of whatever, I get a massive tightness in my chest which feels like it physically hurts. The only person who can really make me feel any

I don't know if I have depression. My feeling is more of emptiness. I have no interest in anything. I left Secondary school 4 years ago and still havent done anything, which is worrying my parents. the only thing that interests me is drinking, which I do more often than I should. I don't feel unhappy all the time. sometimes, maybe 50% of the time, but the other 50% is mostly indifference to everything, and general emptiness. Do you think this is depression or something else entirely.

I've felt the same as these people did for a while, but I'm so scared to seek medical help :( I've tried talking to my mum but she doesn't seem to take it seriously

Depression is a mere obstacle on your pursuit too happiness, learn to vanquish it with happiness, go outside take a walk do something different with your life. Have a friend to help you out or support you through it, but at the end of the day it is your own depression...your evil twin shadow, don't let him bring you down, get back up, keep faith and stay strong. I have went through depression, all i needed to do was to understand myself as a person, composing music was also my way out.

Great video. I suffered with fear and anxiety that lead to depression and I know how paralyzing this can be. It does help to understand what is happening. Thanks for this video

Ive been in therapy for almost 2 years and the only people who know are my family. Although I have made progress from the not eating and getting out of bed stage I struggle. It takes all my energy to hide it from the "real" world. I'd love to scream my feelings out but I just can't

I do not know if I have depression or not. I have low self esteem issues, I have had friends who hate me for no reason, pulling me down even more, starting question about my self. I cry every other day, but when I cry I feel so worthless, hopeless and I even start to hate myself. I have self harmed before because I do not know how to control or channel the pain anymore.. I don't bleed, but it does leave scabs.. Can anyone tell me roughly if I am dealing with some form of depression or not?
