A 32-year journal tracks the chronology of my "depression," from not sleeping to depression to anger to rage to thoughts of suicide to visual and auditory halluctionations. And I've learned that all the "medical" community and the rest of this God forsaken nation care about is that I can "function," defined as "work," hold a job, because in the end, all that really does matter is that I earn money so I can buy stuff and pay taxes and support the very eay of life that is driving us all insane.

@solve809 everybody have reason for any feeling ... guilt is just one of it .. but it's serious if you can't feel some others or guilt becomes a lifestyle .. as it is in my life so far .. fighting fighting .. I feel on the "edge of the end" for some years now .. I get used to it thru life but when some "extreme" situation hit me .. I was picking up pieces .. still picking up .. grabbing small pieces .. they are getting smaller and smaller .... cya :P

"A combination of medication and psychotherapy may be the best choice"...Yeah, for the people who can actually afford some type of health insurance or doctor's costs. Been dealing with this for 8 years roughly, would like help, but know it's not financially feasible.

@Seyhawk124 Mental disorders are real disorders, and many people can feel better with proper treatment. The important thing is to seek medical help; try talking to a qualified mental health or health care provider about your concerns. If you are in a crisis situation, call 911 or the toll-free, 24-hour National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, 1-800-273-TALK (1-800-273-8255). Email us at nimhinfo (at) nih (dot) gov for more info.
