The final railway visit of the bank holiday was to the West Somerset Railway during its Gold Timetable half term running. The weather during the day made it almost seem like it was two completely different days, with wall to wall cloud and persistant drizzle through the morning and early afternoon giving way to wall to wall sunshine and blue skies for the rest of the day. Three of the lines fleet of steam locos were in service alongside the DMU, with two guest locos sat in the loco compound at Bishops Lydeard, No 30777 'Sir Lamiel' still on an extended stay in Somerset, and No 70000 'Britannia' after running light engine to line on the Saturday to haul 'The Pompey Pacific' to Portsmouth on the Monday, but failed with a hot box and with no replacement the tour was cancelled. The locos line up for the day was:-
|SDJR 7F No 88
|BR(W) 5101 Class No 4160
|WSR Mogul No 9351
|DMU
Highlights in this video include 88 arriving at Dunster, 4160 arriving at Watchet, and 9351 arriving at Blue Anchor.
