30 pounds is not hard at all even if you dont use the leg. Doing it with a 45 pound plate is MUCH harder. This is a very powerful feat, doesnt matter if he used his leg. He did a great job. This would be hard for even a world class powerlifter, bodybuilder or weightlifter. This is like a Strongman feat.
Pretty much all strongman lifts are full body lifts, and with good reason. The more muscles you use, the more power you generate and plus it makes the exercises safer. If you dont bend and push with your leg on this exercise, expect some nasty back trouble later on
