It tells the story of a young boy who is excluded from the rest of his classmates, the underlying reason for which is not made clear to start. He spends his time having to play in the corner of the classroom on his own, excluded from the group. The boy eventually befriends a girl in the class and invites her home to meet his talking pet raven. It is at this point that the boy's exclusion from the school group starts to become clear, as he reveals to his new friend the disruptive and abusive upbringing he has had to suffer at the hands of his parents.

  • @Onderonable shitty deal...i feel for you. i guess i was being a herzog fanboy. sometimes good parenting isn't enough. peer pressure, mob mentality, the need to belong , it's too much for some kids.

  • @amiablesnowman Absolutely right. Being young doesn't magically make you pure and nice. If that were true, then there would be no bullies and all kids would get along great. Sadly that isn't the case. Most kids will take any opportunity to alienate or belittle someone else. Ever hear the phrase "As cruel as school children"? It exists for a reason. And you can't blame the parents for a kid being mean and more than you can blame a teacher for a kid being dumb. It just is.

  • @Onderonable True story. When I was a little boy I used to sit on the patio killing a shitload of ants. The only thing children are innocent of is an understanding of their own evil - but the evil is still there, even if they don't realise or understand how bad it is. People are sadists - in fact, I'm less sadistic now than I was then.

  • @dubbedcrazy

Bullshit. There are tons of bad kids. Kids are assholes. I was bullied, made fun of, and excluded from pretty much everything for no reason in first through eighth grade. There are tons of bad children, children are cruel pieces of shit.

  • @TheYgn I wasn't talking of the kids. I was talking about me, who lives a life of a recluse. Ich mochte nicht mit spielen mith the dumb erwachsene. Has du yetz verstanden? Sorry my German isn't all that good anymore. My childhood was far more organised since I attended a military school.

  • @RonAlmeida the only problem is sexual partners-classic stuff

  • I love me some German Donald Duck dubbing.

  • very sweet. 1. this film is obviously educational and addressed at children. so, it's ok if a little bit exaggerated. 2. of course children can act so horrible, dear Ron Almeida. even worse. where did u grow up? maybe not so organized. the little anarchists. 3. I liked the red jacket. 4. and Ron, the only problem is sexual partners? well, for adults. Not for children. and is it a problem for you to get a sex partner? hmm

  • To be seperated from society is the best thing that can happen to any one. Society like money is only a neccessary evil. If one can learn to live outside it, he'll be happier than any one else. I know because I managed at a mature age to have nothing to do with society. The only problem is sexual partners. Humans are basically nothing but parasites. I wonder what mr. Herzog wanted to express by manipulating children to act like adults. Children never behave so horribly.
