After Maddie successfully campaigns to free a man she believes to have been wrongly imprisoned for murder, the elderly husband of the victim, a retired comedian, is found shot dead in his nuclear fall-out shelter. The otherwise empty bunker is locked from the inside, which would suggest the man shot himself, but everyone insists he had crippling arthritis in his hands, and couldn't even pour himself a drink, much less pull a trigger, so how did he actually die?

i wish this show hadn't ended after the fourth series, it just goes to show when shows like the x factor and britain's got talent are popular, that the channel operators are just in it for the views, not the quality of the shows they put out.

@jonesyboy1239 As much as I like taking the mick out of the X Factor and britain's got talent as the next kid, and I never have the time to watch them, they are broadcast in ITV 1, the more viewers the more advertising revenue. Jonathan Creek is on BBC 1, License fee etc, no big deal on massive viewers, guaranteed income every year. The only reason why this show stopped was the solo writer 'David Renwick' just ran out of ideas. :)
