Just a quick run past of my internally meths fired Irish narrow gauge loco and stock - trying to catch the sound of the blower and exhaust beat, listen out at the start.

  • Irish or IoM? Either way, this is very impressive and achieves the garden railway nirvana of near perfect replication of the original!

  • Thanks

The loco originally ran on The Ballymena and Larne railway in Co Antrim. It was a Beyer Peacock, almost identical to those on the IoM. The line eventually ended up as part of the LMS (Northern Counties Committee) - hence the crimson lake livery.

  • You have one of the most atmospheric railways I've ever seen.

  • Thanks

The cold weather helps with the steam effect -as does the leaking cylinder!
