This is the first of a series of movies that will show you what you can do with DigiCel FlipBook and how to do it.
FlipBook is the software that the animators used to make the Simpsons Movie and Curious George and Looney Tunes: Back in Action and Rugrats Go Wild and more. It's also being used right now to make The Princess and the Frog.
If the professional animators that can use any software they want choose to use FlipBook, maybe you should too.

What some people have to learn is that TALENT, ART SKILL and imagination is what you need to get professional results. The tools provided seems more than a luxury for a solo animator to kick out great master pieces. Having said that, I'm gonna play around with this software some more.

Actually we're both right and so are you. The ink & paint department used Toon Boom. When the animators were given Toon Boom they refused to use it. They said animation is hard enough without having to use this software. Then they requested FlipBook and that's what they used. So you just have to decide whether you want to be an ink and painter or an animator. Then you know what to use.

This software looks fantastic? does it support key frames? If so how do you use them?
SamyAdel9 5 days ago
@SamyAdel9
Key frames are used to control where things like pans, zooms, rotations start and stop. Take a lok at the Simple Pan movie to see how to use them. You can also draw key frames and view them in the light box so you can draw the inbetweens. Look at Jason's drawing tutorials to see how they are used.

The tracing pen (the one that looks like a fountain pen) will change the color of any lines it passes over to whatever the currently selected color is. So if you want black you can trace them with the tracing pen while the color is set to black.

Is it possible to import separate images (in my case scanned drawn animation)?
Becase i need a program where i can join the images - speed up the frame rate - and export it in good quality so that the drawings will remain as they were. is that possible in this program?

@Midchrome
That's what FlipBook is most famous for. For many years now the feature animators at all the big studios have used FlipBook to scan, test and time their drawings in order to get their animation to be what we see when we go to the movies. EVERY MAJOR FEATURE FILM going back to the Wild Thornberry's Movie was done just like that in FlipBook.
