The Machine Girl (片腕マシンガール/Kataude mashin gāru) is a Japanese action/horror-comedy film written and directed by Noboru Iguchi. The film stars Minase Yashiro in the lead role as Ami, Asami Miyajima in the role of Miki, Kentarō Shimazu as the yakuza leader and Honoka as his mother. It is about a young Japanese schoolgirl, whose life is destroyed when her brother is killed by a the son of a Ninja-Yakuza. With her hand cut off, she replaces it with a gatling gun and seeks revenge. A sequel called Shyness Machine Girl (マシンガール/Hajirai mashin gāru) was released on January 23, 2009.
