If I'd only known Alan Rickman was in Champaign at that time, I'd have gotten my ass up there to see him! Why, oh why did I not get to U of I until 2009? I totally missed the chance of a lifetime. :'(

Perfectly summarized IMO. Perfume is such a powerful movie. Tom Tykwer is a genius and does not get half the attention of fillmakers who he is just as talented as (Wes Anderson, P.T. Anderson, Nicholas whatever (the guy who directed Drive - I forget his name). Give this guy some props American film critics!

DON"T say that. JUST don't.
LOL

Sounds like it. He's never been anything less than complimentary of the kids, and it's possible he has a favorite. (It's also possible that, if that's true, Dan is his favorite.)

TOO ADORABLE!!!

I was there that night too!! On the other side of the theater. I asked the 2nd question that evening. What an amazing experience. Almost a year later, I'm still stunned. And I cringe every time someone tries to ask him a Snape question. Guess most people don't relize how reluctant he is to talk about that subject!

Who was Alan Rickman referring to as the hardest working person? Was it Daniel Radcliffe, bec he mentioned Equus right after.

God, I love that man. He's a straight shooter and sometimes blurts out the most wonderful, inappropriate yet insightful things.
I loved Perfume, and I loved him in it. It's so uncomfortable to watch him cry.
