Who cares if it looks gay. It works. It is smooth, finesse, and nearly impossible to block.

Im 5'11 and use the hook shot what makes it hard to block is the fact your body is practiclly side ways when you shoot it creating to much space between you and the defender...its funny how no one even bothered to do it...imagine the hook shot being the real shot and the jumper being secondary
