Once you see this movie on TCM, you will find it to be seen to be disbelieved...

  • This is but a cynical attempt to cash in on a music craze without rhyme, reason or even a forethought of anything resembling artistic integrity.

  • Art Gilmore, one of the world's best known voices in movie trailers, is the announcer.

  • This was producer "Jungle Sam" Katzman's first feature for MGM (under his "Four Leaf" banner), after spending more than 15 years at Columbia. His films NEVER LOST MONEY at the box office [and that included the ones featuring Elvis, for the same studio], and he always capitalized on the latest "teen craze" or "hit performers" in movies like this. Other Katzman films in this vein followed, including "Get Youself A College Girl" (1964) and "When the Boys Meet the Girls" (1965).

  • @jalowe1957 Yes but amusing though.

  • This is the movie where J.R. "Bob" Dobbs discovers Johnny Cash huh?

  • I saw this when I was a kid - it sucked - what were the producers thinking? - a couple of good songs like Abilene - other than that - it still sucked
