@FatsJazzCats Y'all go to New Orleans to see white European guys
try to play black jazz?
You be VERY HAPPY now since Katrina then, 'cause they done
LOCKED OUT most of the African-American folks from N.O. for good.
Their homes been BULLDOZERED and rich developers took the
lots and built HIGH PRICE CONDOS where all them great black
native N.O. musicians used to live.
Have fun now, y'hear? Say hi to Mickey Mouse in N.O. Disneyland.
(Watch it, though. Last I checked Mickey Mouse is BLACK).

Tu as swingué, mon ami. Repose-toi, je passerai te voir.

Hey folks - this is one of my favorite NOLA bands - and I enjoy seing my friend Jaques Gauthé who years ago gave me his old Selmer SopranoSax which I've been playing ever since - sometimes together with him and Jamey Whight at the Fritzel's European Jazzclub on Bourbon. Jaques and me we wanted to have a reunion in Ascona - but on the way there he died at home. Fats von Gerolstein

Didn't we have fun....Thanks for this posting of SMILES that I would sing for my late dad only to find out he was usually in another room listening to another band! LOL. Love ya man. Randy

Hello Randy,
Of course I miss your band. These guys are a nice bunch. I played with Jacques Gauthe when he visited Toronto in 1995.
