jjez - inflatable tom toms drum solo part 1

i put tubing in my toms and blow into them to change the pitch while playing.

it could be better. this was my first day screwing around with it

it was 1 min over the allowed time so i had to split it into 2 parts.

what is that in youre mouth?

its plastic tubing which is put in the air hole of the toms. when i blow in it the tube the pitch of the tom bends.

@pancakehungry That's called cymbal scraping. They can also be bowed, which is a more common technique.

Awesome video, way awesome video but I have a question, Whats that thing you do at about 4:11 to make the cymbals sound so freaky? Does it matters what kind of tips are on your drum sticks? Do you think it hurts the cymbal? also you should totally hook those tubes up to like a foot pedal kind of a thing that would be awesome. Like one of those things you have next to the fireplace to blow air on the fire.
