On 12 February 2009, Colgan Air Flight 3407 stalled at 2,000 feet and plunged into a residential area near Buffalo, New York. There are no survivors from the plane and 1 person on the ground is killed. Several critical errors made by the flight crew may have been the result of fatigue.
this flight hit home for me and my neighborhood, this my teacher and cantor were on this plane. it also hit the house next to my aunt. My neighborhood never was the same. to this day everyone is still grieving, everything was so sureal.

Read the NTSB Transcript. HOT1 and HOT2 may have been tired but spent way too much time flirting with one another below 5,000 feet. HOT1 was "religious" and pulled against the stick PUSHER causing a stall while uttering, "Jesus Christ." He must have believed he had the reins of a bucking horse.

@starviego Pilot error due to the crew being tired nearly brought down China Air 006. The structural integrity of the 747 was all that saved them from disaster.

@starviego when you are tired you make mistakes. The crash was caused by pilot error, but the pilot's error was due to Colgan. Colgan should get credit for what happened. Regional air carriers need to be tightly regulated to prevent this from happening. Lax regulation led to this . . . If you are interested in what happened follow the NTSB investigation. If you're not then go any crazy conspiracy you want.

@menthol5
So I guess the pilot with over 5500 flight hours forgets how to fly the plane from one minute to the next. Listen, if you want to find out what happened check out this post:

The evidence shows that problems in the propeller control unit caused the upset, not pilot error. The eyewitnesses on the ground said the engines sounded like they were in trouble.
