While at the D23 expo I had the pleasure of meeting Bruce Boxleitner and had the quick chance while meeting him to ask about seeing Tron back in theaters but more importantly about a Tron 3 - which he confirmed without any hesitation and commented that it would probably come out around 2013 since they probably won't get to it until next year. SO there you have it - confirmation straight from Tron himself! I apologize that the film is a bit shaky - I was trying to juggle the camera while still talking TO Bruce and not through a camera as well as handing the photo and ticket for the autograph.

  • Ain't it Cool News claimed that someone named Chris made this video and asked Bruce about this - totally not true - my name is not Chris.

  • Also, to clarify my smirk after asking about when it would be released - since I felt bad after because it made it seem like I was a bit of a jerk to him but totally didn't mean to be. When he started to say Twenty-Thir . . . I heard that much which sounded like 2030-something and laughed because it seemed like he was cracking a joke since the first film took so long to get a sequel. But by the time he finished saying -teen, as in 2013, it was too late to take back the laugh.

  • PS I love the zoom sound he makes as he spins he photo to sign right side up!

  • Glad to hear this. When I last saw Bruce, he had said only Bridges, Hedlund and Wilde had been signed on for a 3rd one.

  • I would have interpreted that laugh as, "So soon?" >_> But that's just me.

  • imagine if both were still alive flynn and tron holding walking sticks with dentures in their mouths!

  • @ggvidales

Well not really. Tron is way older than them.

  • They should not release another one before a lot of time. Tron is a movie to inspire the computer technology. If they make another one like 5 years after, it won't be enough different. Look at the differences between the first one and the second movie, There's a godlike difference. I love tron, but I don't want another one until at least 15-20 years

  • I'm hyperventilating.

  • OHHHHHHH MY GODDDDDD!!!!!!! I CAAAAANT WAAAAAAAIIITTTTT!!!!!!!!!! I LOVED TRON: LEGACY SOOOO MUCH!!!!!!

    *Flynn Lives*

  • awesome!!!!!

  • @ggvidales As much as I love Daft Punk, and I want them to make the soundtrack again (because I loved the last one), Interviews with Daft Punk revealed that they admitted the original Tron inspired them. To say "Tron would be nothing without them," should be reversed to say "They would be nothing without Tron." Which they openly said themselves.

As I said though, I'm not hatin' on Daft Punk, it's because I love them so much I came across said interview.

  • Daft Punk gotta be in. Tron would be nothing without them.

  • ;U; DREAMS DO COME TRUE!!!
