How do you tune your toms so well?

@DrFridgeFondler - Is it really? Haha. I generally tune my rack toms low but I'm constantly tinkering with the tuning. Just keep the top and bottom heads close together in pitch (bottom lower) and in tune the heads with close to equal tension around the lugs.

@xymbalreborn So, you recommend keeping the resonant head lower? I've never tried that. Most people suggest same tension or raising the resonant.

@DrFridgeFondler - Yeah. Not too much lower though. Keep it around a half step to a step apart.
