  • Thank you! I think that although one can quibble with some hesitations that would be improved if you played it completely from memory, this is the best overall performance of this piece I have ever seen/heard.

  • Hi Fernand, thanks for your response to the Sarabande. I just wanted to clarify that any "hesitations" you may hear in the music are choices I made in the moment to breathe (musically) at the end of phrases. I listened to it again before writing just to make sure, and they sound natural to me. But I realize that many players would never think of doing this, so perhaps you're not used to it!

  • I just love John's instruments! I hope one day to own one myself.

  • Fabulous!

  • thank you.

    It always makes me calm.

COUPERIN and RAMEAU are my favorites.

  • Excellent interpretation - incredible modernity of this piece...

  • Beautiful, sensual playing of this sublime piece. I especially love your playing of the sequence at 1:09-1:30. You breaths throughout make music from silence.Thank you for posting!

  • Now that I've lived more with this (magnificent) piece, and your wonderful interpretation, it sounds natural to me too. Thank You!

  • @FernandRaynaud I agree with K. Perl's comment on your comment.

  • You´re the Top. you´re the tower of Pisa, you´re the smile on the Mona Lisa.

    you´re the Top

And if I´m the bottom, you´re the top.

  • This was transcribed & orchestrated in Rameau's Zoroastre.Beautiful music.

  • This piece of music is so beautiful it defies description.Very similar to Francois Couperin's Les Sentiments Sarabande.Bravo Rameau!!
