  • Would a .22 gamo vipermax have enough power for hunting rabbits? I mostly use it for farmyard vermin control like birds, rats etc. but I would like to start hunting rabbits. I'm living in donegal so im not too far away from you. I'm really enjoying your videos and i hope you get a DVD out soon. Oh and at what distance should I zero my rifle ? Thanks.

  • @weegary2010 The Vipermax should be very close to the UK 12ft/lb limit so fine for hunting rabbits out to 35-40 yards with a clean head shot being the best kill zone.

  • working my way through your wonderful films - ty for them. I am starting out on air rifle hunting and you can see by my username what rifle i have bought: do you have any films where you use a 12ft/lb rifle? Would help me to see a similar set up to mine being used expertly. thanks once again and please do keep it up.

  • @WeihrauchHW97k Sorry i don't hunt with any spring powered air rifles at the minute but would like to get back into that some day. My BSA i use around the farmyards is about 15ft/lb so is very similar to the sort of power in your HW97k.

  • What range would a 9 ft/lb .22 rifle kill a rabbit? cheers

  • @RAM6998 Its a little low as most UK hunters like to use around 11.5ft/lb but you should be OK if you stay inside about 25 yards.

  • hello i am buying a gamo shadow dx and just wondering hat would be eny good for rabbit shooting

  • @jay1429 I use a lazer range finder that i use but with practice you can judge short ranges by eye.

  • @MultiCharlie1950 at 40 yards your looking at a 3inch drop if your zeroed at 30

  • @CountyBoyBuck1985 This is more permanent.

  • @CraziMEXICAN96 I was using a 30ft/lb .22cal Theoben MFR pcp powered air rifle that was ordered from England by a firearms dealer for me.
