Venus is at its brightest this week, and is headed towards its transit across the face of the sun in early June. Check out brilliant planet in the western sky or see the slim crescent shape due to reflected sunlight in a telescope. Saturn and the first magnitude star Spica get a visit from the Moon later in the week, and Mars is still easily visible in the overhead southern sky.
See what's up in the night sky every week with "Eyes on the Sky," astronomy made easy.

You're welcome Christopher - it seems there's not a lot of folks interested in doing that, and I wish I had the time to go after people to send them, but I don't with the time it takes to make these. So I may just do a black screen for the credits in the future. :-(

Ah! Okay, yes, that makes more sense. Sure thing! I'd be glad to do that sometime. My schedule is a little crazy at the moment, but send me an email and we can figure out the details.

I appreciate you sharing my videos! I hope more people will share them too, so we can educate about light pollution and get that moving in the direction of more darkness overhead, and lights down on the ground.

That seems to happen to me too. So I've made a deal with myself: TAKE PICTURES ANYWAY. That way the clouds can't mess things up. :-)

Hi Francis - not sure what you mean by "do a report LIVE when [I] make a new one." Do you mean report on when I've got a new one out? Or provide some information live about a recent weekly video? I just want to be sure I'm understanding what you're asking. Send me an email (see credits of video) so we can get together on this. I definitely interested; just not sure exactly what it is you're looking for. Love your website by the way - looks GREAT!
