  • can't you see he can't play this kind of song!??

  • @bernii29 It looks like he is doing just fine to me. So he paused a couple times during the first song, so what. It's not like he is riding a unicycle. He is just playing a song. If he wants to play a song and can learn it, then why not? The only reason he "can't play this kind of song" would be if the notes were too far stretched for his little hands to reach.

  • @beckalynn3 I think he hasn't technique enough to interpret these songs.

  • @bernii29 Ah, yes, I understand what you mean. Really, what 7 year old would? I'm not worried about him being able to interpret classical pieces at his age. That will come with age and maturity. Right now he is just enjoying himself.

  • now that's better.;)

  • @PianoTHIS ah, i see you did find this. :) Thanks, and again, he really did love playing that last piece. His piano teacher didn't have it picked for him to play but he just wanted to play it so badly. It is why he had 3 pieces at his recital. Most of the other kids only play 1 or 2 at most, but Caleb really had fun with the "concerto".

You need to build on technique, not force it. Train things he can do like ornaments or finger-training like the basic exercises from Hanon. He'll get to larger chords, jumps and octaves when he's old enough. And please, work on musicality as well. Technique is fine, but without the music in the music the technique is pointless.

Nevertheless my most friendly regards, especially to the little gentleman.

  • Glad to see how this little man plays the piano. Great job! has a interesting future if he keeps up the good work!

    congratz for the parents too!

  • Possibly an exciting future for this young man!

  • @MrAthlete1998 wow just wow
