man it's on of the most beautiful things in life, the moment when a tree falls down!
every now and then when I'm bored I go to the woods to push down dead trees with bare hands or pull 'em down with a rope (for Really big ones) and that moment a big fat tree hits the ground is so nice

makes me wanna go out in the woods

I've been clearing my local trails the past week after a heavy snow storm brought down some trees... A hikers who was passing by asked why I was using an axe and not a chainsaw...
I said "You just wouldn't understand"...
It's much more humbling doing it the old fashioned way!
what's the make of the axes? and where were they manufactured?

@flamedrag18
Hi. The axes are old ones/restored. They have been manufactured by local blacksmiths over than 200 years ago.

did you immediatley remove those trees from the forest? how did you transport them?

i removed the trees from the forest with the help of my neighbors truck (i wanted to get them out using horse, but the horse was too weak and old) until spring came. then i peeled them down. and then in the end of a spring hew them.

what did you use the trees for after you cut them down?

@freefarmland
I will use them for wall infill of my timber frame/log house. I hewed them with an axe. In my channel you can see the hewing process.
